We invite teachers to apply for the Certified Teachers Program for Art and Stitch:

 

Owners of Art and Stitch who have teaching skills, experience in teaching digitizing or longarm quilting and who are willing to spend 4 weeks on an online training we offer free of charge are welcome to apply. As Art and Stitch is a "top of the line" product, we want our teachers to provide high quality classes to their students.

 

We encourage every teacher to develop his/her own "specialty", a special technique or way to use Art and Stitch. Goal of this Specialty is that a variety of classes can be offered for Art and Stitch at quilt shows, so that multiple teachers won't be each other's competition.

Janiece shows in her "Back to the Basics Addendum" that anything can be an inspiration to create continuous line quilt patterns with Art and Stitch: Photos of buildings, flowers, signs in a shopping mall, parts of fabrics - anything. Just trace and play.

Susan Smith - Bainbridge Island, WA 

Susan shows various ways to make applique patterns in Art and Stitch. Want to learn how to do raw edge applique or even turned edge applique on your longarm? Susan walks you through the techniques in Art and Stitch step-by-step, showing how to use motifs instead of a blanket stitch to finish the applique edges.

Linda lets you play with TrueType Fonts and Dingbat Fonts in Art and Stitch. She shows how to create continuous text designs and how to turn Dingbats into quilt patterns. Linda has also digitized a very nice and useful font that can be opened from the Library.
