June 10-13 2012

Three Art and Stitch learning experiences during SUGAR:

Free Art and Stitch lecture demos

Monday evening June 11, 2012:  Art and Stitch demo - A Jump Start into Digitizing

Tuesday evening June 12, 2012: Art and Stitch demo - Traditional Feathers go Digital

Important notice: We received an overwhelming number of registrations for these evening demos. Because of the many attendees, these demos will not be hands-on classes, just lecture demos.

Visit our booth # 38-39 in the SUGAR Vendor Mall

Monday June 11 and Tuesday June 12 2012: Noon - 8 pm

Wednesday June 13 2012: Noon - 5 pm

We will have continuous demos of Art and Stitch in our booth during Vendor Mall opening hours. Come and see us, ask anything about the software, let us show you everything you want to know about Art and Stitch.

You can't draw? We let you doodle in our booth and we will turn it instantly into a nice quilt pattern. You will be amazed. In minutes your pattern is ready to be saved on a USB thumb drive and to be opened in Creative Studio to stitch. You can use the same technique back home and let your customer make a doodle. You can then quilt her top with her own design! She will be back with her next top before you know it. Just watch us do it.

Mini-Retreat Hands-on class # 1 - Art & Stitch: a Jump Start into Digitizing

In this hands-ondigitizing class for longarmers with a computerized system you will learn how to create beautiful, creative patterns and become a real artist in the Art and Stitch digitizing program, specially developed for longarm quilting.

Learn how to make beautiful patterns, fill shapes with motifs, cross hatching, wave fills, autostipple, creative background fillers.

Use those fills inside or around a design, or turn shapes into applique.

Learn how to draw from scratch or to trace any image. Art and Stitch will work with all major quilt and/or embroidery formats and is a great companion to Statler's Creative Studio. Let us show how to get the best out of both spectacular pieces of software.

To prepare: watch the tutorial movies on this art and stitch website, download and install the trial version and follow the first exercises in the User Guide (open via menu Help > User Guide).

Mini-Retreat Hands-on class # 2 - Art & Stitch: Traditional Feathers Go Digital

Always admired those beautiful feather patterns? How about making your own?

In this digitizing lesson you will learn how to digitize traditional feather designs in the easy to use Art and Stitch software, specially written for longarm quilters.

You will learn how to draw feathers with the semi-automatic 3pt arc tool, how to create feather designs with the Magic Circle function and have fun with "Transform Artwork > Unite"

It will be great to draw those gorgeous beautiful patterns yourself and use them on your Statler / Gammill.

To prepare: watch the tutorial movies on this art and stitch website, download and install the trial version and follow the first exercises in the User Guide (open via menu Help > User Guide).
